Tonight, Feel the Spirit, our fall Virtual Choir Project Series continues with The MasterSingers. They perform David Dickau’s If Music Be the Food of Love, available to watch from any device right here on our website, or on YouTube. Streaming is available at 7:30 p.m. We thank Moore & Van Allen for their sponsorship of tonight’s video.
Last week, we released the first of the three videos in our series with The Tour Choirs performing I Am The Gentle Light from composer Paul Mealor. You can watch that performance again here on our website, or watch on YouTube. (If you watch on YouTube, be sure to subscribe so you can keep up with all of our videos as they’re posted.)
These online videos are an innovative way for us to provide performance opportunities to our singers. They also provide a new and unique challenge for singers used to ensemble singing.
“Virtual choirs require a different set of tools for our choristers,” Elizabeth Lenti said. “They’re challenged to sing individually, with the magic of a collective voice only revealed to everyone when the video is complete.”
These projects are one of the ways we’re remaining accessible to our community during the ongoing pandemic. You can help us keep our program accessible with a gift today.
